True to the fireman's experience, the leaky hose, the chaos, the chief barking orders
and the inevitable rescue down the ladder this was a fun project to research and take photos of.
Ultimately, the retired chief of Sausalito's fire department wanted to buy my original 24 x 36
painting with one catch: I had to put his name on the chief's jacket.
I did so and was lucky his was not a 15 letter middle European name.
Whew, it was only 5 letters.
