"At The Edge"

It was always a thrill to drive the coast from Elk to Mendocino when we lived there.

I had to be careful to stay on the road when my eye wanted to drift over to see

these long fingers reaching out into the ocean. I felt it was a privilege to experience

this, kind of like Yosemite or Grand Canyon. No words did the job. So I chose to do a

painting without my usual humor and see if I could capture the feeling. It hangs

in our home now. But it could go to a good home that might feel the way I do.
